Stayed here two nights for a stopover. Rating is for longer term visit. If only using as a stopover rating would be much higher. The CG only had a small pool and Wi-Fi for amenities. It does have all pullthru sites long enough to stay hooked to your toad overnight. Sites are narrow but level. Gate locks at 6:00pm so don't be late arriving. We would stay here again as a stopover but not as a destination park. Did not explore area but it appears you are a good distance from most conveniences.
We stayed here two nights as a stopover. Will return here for sure at next opportunity. Park is one of the best we have stated at. It was cold but I guess that is not totally the resorts fault :-) Most sites are pull-thru and very easy to get into. The view of the lake is awesome at sunset. The clubhouse with beautiful bar/HDTV is a must see as is the exercise room (best one we've seen). Too bad the pools were closed since there are two pools and a small lazy river. Sandy beach at the lake, fishing pier, boat ramp and boat slips make this a fisherman's paradise. The restrooms were the best I have seen in a campground. Satellite friendly, but minimal antenna TV reception.
Stayed here on Coast to Coast rate ($10 + $2 for mandatory Cable). Park was extra clean and staff was most friendly. Many activities in resort. Campground is part of a large resort area with other campground and rental units. A $4 daily per person fee is optional to access main amenities i.e., indoor pool, sauna, spa, exercise room, putt putt and water slide. We were there over Thanksgiving and were treated to a resort-wide dinner in the clubhouse. On site riding stables and several nearby National Forests and wilderness areas. Great place to vacation. We will spend time here in future.
We stayed in off-season. Pools closed Oct. 31. Great lodge. WiFi available in lodge. All sites and roads are paved; sites are level. Nearby Unicoi State Park access is great. Community fire rings with firewood furnished. We stayed on Coast to Coast and had a $2 per night mandatory cable fee. We were given a full hookup site on the pond. Will definitely stay here again. Highly recommend this park.
Pool closed for winter, limited playground for kids. Large % of seasonal or long term trailers, some in poor condition. Gravel roads and fairly level sites most pull thru. Stayed as C2C GNP and was charged $3 per night sewer which seemed high. Several miles to local shopping and most of surrounding area is economically depressed. National forest nearby with great hiking. Hunting also allowed in forest. New management was friendly and seem to be making improvements. Near interstate and easy stay over park.
There are lots of family activities, a Saturday breakfast and a lodge. Some sites need leveling and the lower area of park does not have sewer. Free Wifi if site is close enough to antennas, more range needed, but free.
Stayed on C2C, grass was not cut on sites (12" high). Narrow streets required skill to get into sites. Mostly permanent sites and not very well kept up. Some sites were actually junky. Concrete pad, grill and fire ring. C2C members were told we were not entitled to use resources on left side of road. Wi-Fi was $5 per night for length of stay, could use rec facility for $2.50/person/night. Boat ramp and dock area were very nice. Bathrooms were just OK, large piece of ceiling in B/R and fallen and rotting wood was visible above. We might stay here again as a stop-over but not as a camping trip.
